Features
Archival Quality Mylar® Currency Frames provide professional protection for collectible U.S. banknotes and rare paper money. Each frame is engineered for long-term preservation and crystal clarity—ideal for collectors who demand both durability and display appeal.
Our Mylar® polyester windows are acid-free, chemically inert, and proven safe for archival storage. PET films maintain balanced tensile strength, resist moisture and chemicals, and remain dimensionally stable between −100°F and 300°F. Unlike acrylic or PVC, they do not yellow, crack, or release harmful vapors that degrade currency.
- Available in 4-mil, 7-mil, and 10-mil Mylar® thicknesses for tiered protection levels
- Screw-sealed design—opens easily for note changes without adhesive contact
- Collector-grade clarity enhances visibility and presentation of fancy serials and rare notes
- Precision 3D printed frames made in San Antonio, Texas using durable materials and clean assembly
- Important: Acrylic and similar plastics are not archival safe—they off-gas over time, releasing acids that discolor and damage paper notes.
Why We Started
As lifelong collectors, we saw that true archival-quality currency displays were overpriced, while cheap acrylic and PVC holders risked damaging valuable notes. We built a better solution.
Combining numismatic expertise with modern 3D printing and precision design, we created Serial Shield 3D™—a line of collector-grade Mylar® frames that safeguard history with professional clarity and long-term stability.
Today, D.D. Collectables also offers custom 3D printing services in San Antonio, producing accurate, reliable parts for collectors, hobbyists, and creators nationwide.
Our mission remains simple: help collectors protect and showcase what matters most—without compromising quality or affordability.
